Learn to Dance with Life


If there's one thing we know for certain, it's that everything changes. As much as we often want things to stay the same, change is inevitable. It can be hard to relinquish control (or rather, the idea that we have control, cause we actually don't). Change will happen whether we want it to or not. So, instead of resisting, the happiest path is often the one of least resistance. The one that flows and follows the rhythm of the music of life. If you learn to dance with the changes of life, you may find more ease and joy. Read on to find out how you can do just that!


Dance with Life

The way to thrive is to Dance with the changes of Life. Be adaptable. Flow with the ever-moving energy within and around you. Take the path of least resistance and stay on your toes as you weave, pivot, and turn with grace (mostly) through life’s challenges and changes.


How to Dance with the Changes of Life

  1. Mindset matters. Our perception of change is often as a bad thing. As a challenge. But, it's actually neither good or bad, it is simply a truth of life. Life is full of changes. There are seasons, and we change with them. Our priorities change as we age. The world around us changes. Change means growth. If we see it as a challenge or as a difficulty, it will be just that. Instead, foster a mindset that sees change as natural and worthwhile.

  2. Gratitude. Realize that nothing is permanent. Find gratitude and things to appreciate in every moment, especially through changes.

  3. Create space. Leave space in your life for opportunity. For something new. If you're always overbooked, overworked, overwhelmed, then there is no space for creativity and for change. And then change becomes really difficult because you're already at your limit and there's no space for it.

  4. Adapt. So the thing you planned didn't work out. That's okay! Try something new. Take a different approach.

  5. Let it slide. When things don't go your way, try your best to let it go. No need to hold onto that aggravation. Something even better may be just around the corner.

  6. Have fun! And try not to take life too seriously.


So, lovely creatures, put on your dancing shoes! Allow your Spirit to move freely through life. Avoid the urge to control or resist. Dance with the changes of life for more serenity, fulfillment and joy.


I especially love this approach because dancing is my favourite way to express my Spirit, and to connect to Essence. Essence being the energy that flows through us all.
